What turnaround times does BESTProto offer?
BESTProto offers three turnaround tiers across all service lines: Express, Expedited, and Standard, with turn times of up to 5, 10, and 20 business days, respectively. The count starts once all documentation, approvals, and materials are in house and all engineering questions are answered. We confirm the best-fit tier for your quantity and complexity when we quote your project. For small, simple jobs, a 24-hour rush may also be possible after a feasibility review.
What is the difference between turn time and lead time?
Turn time is the number of business days we need to build your assembly. It is counted from the moment all documentation, approvals, and materials are in house and all engineering questions are answered. Lead time is the full span from placing your order to receiving your boards, so it also includes what happens before turn time starts, such as component procurement and bare board fabrication when we arrange them for you, plus shipping afterward. Our Express, Expedited, and Standard tiers describe turn time.
Do you offer 24-hour rush service?
Yes, for the right project. The 24-hour rush is a custom option for small jobs that need no component sourcing, board fabrication, or post-assembly steps such as conformal coating or testing. Typical examples are an urgent BGA rework on a few boards, or a simple assembly built entirely from customer-provided parts. We confirm every rush order after a feasibility review of your files, parts, and quantity. If your project needs more than a day, the Express tier ships in up to 5 business days. Contact us with your project details, and we will tell you what is possible.
What is the difference between full turnkey, partial turnkey, and kitted (consigned) assembly?
Full turnkey means BESTProto sources all components and manages the entire build. Partial turnkey means BESTProto sources some components while the customer supplies bare boards or other parts. Kitted (consigned) means the customer supplies all boards, components, and parts, and BESTProto provides only labor, assembly, and inspection.
Is there a minimum order quantity?
No. None of our service lines carry a minimum order requirement. Whether you need a single prototype unit or a production run of several thousand, BESTProto scales to match your project’s stage, not the other way around.
