Assembly Documentation
Our engineers review customer-provided assembly files (Gerber, ODB++, CAD, BOM), product requirements, assembly instructions, and perform DFM analysis.
Bare Boards & Components
Whether sourced by us or the client, our team audits the received kit. Any discrepancies are addressed before the assembly lead time begins.
SMT Machine Programming
Programming of all machines involved in the PCB assembly process based on the assembly documentation received. DFA analysis.
Solder Paste Deposition
Solder is automatically deposited onto the boards based on the provided documentation. Advanced jetters allow high degree of solder deposition precision.
SMD Assembly
SMD components are assembled on our automated pick-and-place machines. The first-article board is throughly inspected to assure correct part placement.
Reflow Soldering
As the first boards come off the reflow oven, the first article inspection is performed with our AOI equipment to catch any assembly issues.
X-ray Inspection
All leadless devices, such as BGA parts, are X-rayed to verify placement accuracy and solder defects such as voids and solder bridges.
Automated Optical Inspection
As the first boards come off the reflow oven, the first article inspection is performed with our AOI equipment to catch any assembly issues.
Through-Hole Assembly
Through-hole components, connectors and and other special parts are soldered manually as specified by the board assembly documentation.
Special Services
Any requested special services such as depanelization, conformal coating, and cleaning are performed.
Testing and Inspection
Fully processed boards are tested, if required, and subjected to a thorough final quality inspection.
Order Shipping
Finished assemblies and left-over material are packaged and shipped back to the client or drop-shipped as instructed.

No, unless this is your preference. BESTProto offers full turnkey (BESTProto sources everything), partial turnkey (shared sourcing), or kitted/consigned service (customer supplies all parts), depending on what fits your project.
Is there a minimum order quantity for PCB assembly?
No. BESTProto supports single prototype builds with the capability to scale up to low- or medium-production runs. With no minimum order quantity (MOQ), this flexibility is central to our high-mix, low-volume (HMLV) business model.
