Turnaround & Service Options
Choose the schedule that fits your program: Express, Expedited, or Standard, with turn times of up to 5, 10, or 20 business days, respectively. Builds ship as soon as they are complete, and the clock starts once documentation, approvals, and materials are in house. See the Quick-Turn PCB Assembly page for the full tier descriptions, turnkey and kitted options, and our assembly process outline.
Security & Compliance
All of our assembly takes place at our South Elgin, Illinois facility, supporting secure, domestic supply chains and intellectual property protection for defense and aerospace customers.
- ITAR-Registered: Compliant handling of export-controlled technical data and hardware.
- NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 1 Compliance: NIST 800-171 protects Controlled Unclassified Information, and CMMC Level 1 covers basic safeguarding of Federal Contract Information. Both are self-assessed and recorded in SPRS.

Frequently Asked Questions
About Our Defense & Aerospace PCB Assembly Capabilities
Is BESTProto ITAR-registered?
Yes, we are ITAR-registered and follow NIST 800-171 and CMMC Level 1 cybersecurity standards to protect controlled technical data and support customers with export-controlled requirements.
Are you AS9100:2016 certified?
BESTProto is certified to AS9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015. By default, assemblies are built to IPC-A-610 Class 2 or Class 3 workmanship under our ISO 9001:2015 process controls. Customers who need AS9100:2016 job controls, including enhanced traceability and documentation, can request an AS9100 build at the time of quote.
What IPC class do you build defense and aerospace assemblies to?
Most defense and aerospace circuit card assemblies are built to IPC-A-610 Class 3, the highest workmanship standard, though we can also support Class 2 builds depending on program requirements.
Can you support obsolescence management for long-lifecycle programs?
Yes, our engineering team proactively monitors component end-of-life risk and recommends parametric alternatives to help keep long-running defense and aerospace programs in production without costly redesigns.
Do you manufacture in the United States?
Yes, all of our assembly takes place at our South Elgin, Illinois facility, supporting secure, domestic supply chains and intellectual property protection for defense and aerospace customers.
What documentation do you provide for defense and aerospace orders?
We provide certificates of conformance with every order, and first article inspection (FAI) data upon request, giving program managers the traceability required for military and aerospace quality standards.
